The full story:

I was lacking a sense of purpose in life. Wondering what to do following a break-up. I was feeling inadequate and not able to cope by myself. I had done the 6 day challenge that popped up on my facebook. I loved the idea of the self-study course and the style of it suited me perfectly. It was amazing that Andrea offered it at a lower price too.

Since completing the course, I feel like my attitude is different.

I feel like I take things as they are more. I feel more able to cope with things and more in control of what I’m doing. I know what things give me nourishment, excitement and joy so I know doing more of them is a good thing for me. It has helped me to get less caught up in other people’s’ struggles, especially other people’s stress at work. I feel more objective in these situations which helps me to manage my own stress. It has given me confidence to know that I’m ok as I am, but my confidence has always been an issue for me and something I’m always going to work towards.

I feel like I have the tools now.

In terms of the actual content, the idea of disidentifying with my mind blew my mind and makes more sense every day. I think the videos helped the course to come alive. I found them really reassuring to have Andrea there in front of me talking me through things.

The quizzes were useful because they made me pay extra attention and helped me realise which key messages I had picked up on. The progress tracking is a really good motivator to keep going with the course. It took me some extra time to complete the modules but the progress tracker helped to prompt me to keep going.

Having something tangible to write in (the workbook) was really helpful.

I felt that it made my thoughts and feelings real within the exercises. I started taking notes when watching the videos in the first module as I didn’t realise at first that it would all be in the resources but I kept on doing it as it helped me to process it in my own way.

The module resources were very comprehensive. I like that you can come back to them after the course. All the links, videos and recommendations were really great.

I am very excited for you (the reader) right now because I think if you have got this far into reading testimonials you are one step away from signing up.

It will be the best decision you have ever made.

Whatever struggle you have, this will help you and open your eyes. You will learn how to have choice in your life and not feel stuck in the mundane every day goings on. It is inspirational and empowering.

If a friend came to me for help because they were suffering and they could see change in me, I would point them immediately Andrea’s way. If they were just asking in conversation about the course, I would say it was life changing and great and I’m going to carry on practising for the rest of my life!

I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to do this.

I’m sad now that it’s finished so I’ll definitely be revisiting the modules and trying some of the practices again. It has been absolutely fantastic – thank you so very much, I can’t thank you enough. THANK YOU! X

I have a friend, Roger*, who I have a fascinating intellectual connection with. It seems impossible for our catch ups to last any less than 3 hours. It feels like neither of us wants to leave because there’s always still so much left to discuss. Eventually we get...

Wondering how you are? (COVID edition)

Hey, how are you doing? It’s a mad time isn’t it? Not only have our inboxes been flooded with emails from random companies who we purchased a pen off 15 years ago telling us how they’re handling COVID-19 (why?!), but also, there is no gluten free pasta in the...

What to do when your mind gets stuck on rumination mode

Last week I caught Neville becoming as repetitive as that time my dad gave my 16yo self a party pill and I talked a random guy’s ear off. “I’m sad.” Neville mourned. “So sad. So lonely. I miss BGC. I’m alone. Alooooone. Sad and alone. Alone and sad. So sad. And...

How to freak out 12% less about COVID19

Yesterday I walked around the botanical gardens at 10pm crying like a madzer. At a couple of points, I properly wailed. Luckily the track was empty. Like many of us, I’m scared. I’m fragile as a leaf. I’m losing most of my income, and all my business security. I’m...
