How to reset your mood

I’m a big believer that you don’t have to wait until you’re on a beach sipping a coconut to be happy.

(Though your mind will often tell you that is the case).

With some tried and tested techniques, you can learn to love whatever life it is that you currently live.

However, I think a ‘restart’ every now and then is a great fast-track to get some perspective; some new inspiration; and to clean out some old mind-junk.

A bit like defragging your mind.

(For those of us old enough to remember those days)

To do so, you need to go somewhere new, get away from wherever it is that you live – even just for a day or two – preferably somewhere outdoors.

Life has been so good lately, but even with all the techniques in the world, routine creeps in, and I find myself on autopilot.

When I’m on autopilot, my mind runs riot and I lose the ability to remain mindful.

Autopilot takes the bloody good out of bloody good life.

So I’m off on a camping trip in the South Island of New Zealand!
