Looking for fulfilment? Look no further

Happiness & Fulfilment

Guys, I did it!

I shook, a lot, and had to go on stage with notes, but didn’t f it up!

Got so nervous that I forgot to ask someone to film it for me, but lucky Andréa Paige :: Live for Vitality from The Yoga Barn – Bali tagged this shot of me in action so I can prove I really did just jump into the fire, and I didn’t sink… or however that analogy (obviously doesn’t) go.

“All things I have done in my life that I am most proud of… are all things on the threshold of which I felt the most fear”

– A friend and client of mine posted this rather apt quote today, apparently it’s from a tampon ad! Good work, tampon ad, you nailed my thoughts today.

But it’s so true,

all the things I’ve done which scared the bejaysus out of me the most have been the most fulfilling, rewarding things I ever done…

Moving to Switzerland to do a snowboarding season; backpacking Europe solo; quitting a future in architecture for the unknown; moving to Sydney following a dude I fell for; getting a job on a superyacht; starting my own business with no business knowledge whatsoever; going on a million tinder dates til I found a needle in the haystack, and now, jumping on stage to talk to an audience of 250 people with no prior public speaking experience and only a few days to prepare.

If you’re looking for fulfilment and pride in your life, you’ve got to step out of your comfort zone,

stop looking for it in the comfortable places.

Do one thing a day that scares you, and all those other bollocksy-but-kind-of-true motivational quotes that seem to be plaguing Instagram lately.
