Lawn mowing for a bloody good life

Happiness & Fulfilment, Making Decisions & Finding Passion

I’ve been sick with the man flu for a week and have fallen off the exercise bandwagon. And yesterday it was raining and I was cold. You know how it is. So today I eyed the outdoors with suspicion as I put on my yoga pants ready for some form of something… I always try to start my morning by getting out and doing some kind of exercise, it’s imperative for my sanity. But I wasn’t really up for anything too strenuous.

So I decided to do some lawn mowing!

Those manual ones are bloody hard to work I tell ya!

I’d read an article about getting out and exercising every day, which I agree with (if I don’t, I get all flighty and all over the place), but I’d never considered that “yard work” would count as exercise! My lawn has needed mowing for months, and my bok choy is battling with many varieties of weeds.

So mowing the lawn was a totally win-win scenario, and way harder than most workouts I ever do!

Functional exercise is where it’s at, I so prefer exercising in a way that makes sense and gets something done rather than running on a treadmill like a hamster. Not that I ever do that, gyms scare me.

Anyway.

I just thought I’d share my revelation with you – gardening counts as exercise AND getting outside! AND

I had some home grown bok choy for lunch.

I was so proud of my domestic abilities, it tasted extra excellent.

Hey, but look – I have something nifty for you!

Last night I stayed up til 2am (oops) finishing my first ever g-book! It’s called:

Bloody Good Day 101: How to Stop a Bad Day in its Tracks.

In it you’ll find lots of pictures of my face, PLUS, the routine I follow to keep myself cool calm and collected (not snappy), no matter what side of the bed I wake up on.

It’s a g book because it’s more bloody good than an e-book, I think we’ve all got enough of those.

Let me know what you think!

There’s a mistake in there, 10 Bloody Good Life points if you find it before I manage to upload the new copy!

If you’ve been thinking of doing the much loved Bloody Good Life program, this is your last chance. BGL will be closing its doors from July this year.

Learn to tame your overthinking mind and get clear on your direction (plus a handful of other benefits you won't expect).
